Shelter In Place Update (As of 3/9/2021)
The COVID-19 Shelter-In-Place mandate has been issued by all Bay Area counties and has been extended indefinitely. Various types of businesses have reopen with necessary precautions to protect the public in place.
It is highly recommended that everyone should follow these tips to protect community health.
Protection:- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Use Hand Sanitizers when soap and water is not available.
- Cover your cough or sneeze.
- Stay home when sick, except to get medical care.
- Get a flu shot to protect against flu or symptoms similar to COVID-19. Flu Vaccines are available at local pharmacies and Primary Care Providers.
- Wear a face mask when going outdoors at all times. Face masks are required when entering various businesses and being outdoors.
- Think about how you and your family can get ready, in case of illness.
- Create a backup childcare plan in case you or a caregiver become sick.
- Make sure you have all the essential medications for your family.
- Risk for COVID-19 is based on travel, contacts and exposure to the virus. No racial, ethnic or cultural group is more at risk.
- The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, cough, and shortness of breath. If you have traveled to a country or region with cases of the new virus, and you develop symptoms, call your doctor and tell them about your symptoms and your recent travel.
- If you need medical attention, please contact your primary care physician immediately. Most physicians are available via telehealth (Phone or Video Conferencing).
- COVID-19 Testing is widely available. Please contact your primary care physician for more information.
- Otherwise, you are welcome to use any of our contracted urgent care facilities (Go Health/Dignity Health or Carbon Health) or the Chinese Hospital and Clinics. If this is a medical emergency, please go to the nearest emergency room or dial 9-1-1.
